"Our mission is to stop the cycle of re-incarceration by providing training and support to the women of New Mexico, who are recovering from substance use disorder and mental health issues. NMWRC offers peer support services while utilizing SAMHSA 8 dimensions of wellness. Returning women are assigned to a peer that will coach, mentor, and provide skills needed to succeed."

NM Women's Recovery Academy

The NM Women's Recovery Academy provides residential reentry treatment services designed to reduce recidivism.  Programs and services currently offered at the New Mexico Women’s Recovery Academy include risk and needs assessments for individuals, substance abuse programming, individual and group counseling, RDAP curriculum, family services and parenting skills, 12-Step meetings, anger management classes, educational/HSD/WorkKeys services, seeking safety groups, and domestic violence classes.

NMWRA is residential reentry center that utilizes peer-led education in a structured, therapeutic setting for women referred to the program by the New Mexico Department of Corrections.
