In 2021 the New Mexico State Library is joining with many across the country in celebrating the 200th anniversary of the opening of the Santa Fe Trail.

Whether you want to read a traveler's accounts or map out your own journey along the historic trail, the New Mexico State Library has a book for you. So much has been written about The Santa Fe Trail, this research guide is an entry point, not a complete list.
